The Loss Prevention team is comprised of approximately 300 employees in the Ontario Region. We provide superior in house Loss Prevention services to Loblaw Companies Limited and its respective banners; Real Canadian Superstore (RCSS), Loblaw Supermarkets, Zehrs Markets, nofrills, Fortino Supermarkets, Your Independent Grocer, Cash and Carry, Fresh-Mart, Valu-Mart and Distribution Centre.

Loss Prevention Officers


Loss Prevention Officers are responsible for detecting, deterring and apprehending shoplifters in our retail grocery stores. In addition, Loss Prevention Officers are responsible for conducting internal/external surveillances and other investigations as requested. Due to the travel between store locations during shifts, it is essential that Loss Prevention Officers possess a current valid driving license and own a personal vehicle (mileage reimbursement for business travel is offered). We require that Loss Prevention Officers be licensed as a Private Investigator through the Ministry of Public Safety and Security.

Shifts

Varied schedule of days, evenings, and weekends and public holidays. Must be available 24/7.

Hosts

Greet customers entering and exiting the store. They protect store and property by responding to all Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) alarms and act as a visible deterrent while providing customer service with an emphasis on public relations.

Physical Security Coordinators

Loss Prevention Services


This administrative team supports the Loss Prevention department. The call centre (Loss Prevention Services) is a 24/7 National dispatch/security support call centre. The Loss Prevention Representatives provide exceptional customer service and handle a high volume of calls while working independently in a computerized environment. The representative must be bilingual (French/English).

Shifts Varied and includes days, evenings and weekends.
